Abstract
Alföldi Lajos (Miskolc, 1927. március 09. – Szeged, 2021. október 31.) orvosbiológus. Egyetemi tanulmányait 1945-49-ben a Pázmány Péter Tudományegyetemen, 1949-51-ben a Szegedi Tudományegyetem Orvosi Karán végezte, 1951-ben orvosi oklevelet szerzett. Az orvostudományok kandidátusa (1955), a biológiai tudományok doktora (1971), Magyar Tudományos Akadémia tagja (levelező 1982. május 07., rendes 1990. május 21.). 1990-94-ben az MTA elnökségi tagja. 1985-89-ben az OMFB elnökségi tagja. Kutatási területe a mikrobiális genetika. Tudományos osztály: MTA VIII. Biológiai Tudományok Osztálya
